Mason's 6th Birthday!

Yesterday was Mason's 6th birthday! I slacked a little on posting for this, we had a very busy day!
I made pudding cups to look like little beaches and took those to Mason's school for a class celebration. As soon as I got home from that, I had to bake a cake. As that was finishing, I had to pick Mason up at school. We came right home and got the BIGGEST gift he has ever recieved! A cute 5 month old lab named Buddy! Mason is very cute with it... although I think that it is already too big for him to control! LOL! He is so sweet to Buddy..... maybe a little too much. I think that the dog wants to play rough. Once buddy learns the full effects of catch, that will be more fun..... he usually just watches what you are throwing, then looks back at you. We need to get dog training.... quickly! :)

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY MY BIG BOY! I LOVE YOU!

Piggies & Paws

I just wanted to update anyone that didn't know. I started a business a few months ago. I am now an independent artist for Piggies & Paws.

Piggies and Paws provides a fun and creative way to capture your child's growth through hand, foot and sometimes finger prints. We use acrylic paint to capture the print on high quality paper, then I embellishe and transform the print into the design of your choice. All completed pieces are custom and ready to display anywhere in your home.

You can view a few of these awsome creations @ http://www.piggiesandpaws.com/

Mason the Soccer Fiend!

Mason has been playing indoor soccer for the last couple of months at the local gym. Steve has been coaching, but he still didn't seem to have much interest. You could always see him walking around the court looking special. Well, to the untrained eye he looked special. I knew that he was walking around being an Autobot transforming! (like the Transformers movie).

Then suddenly one day last week, something clicked for him with sports! You should see him go now! When he is playing the field, he is always right in there trying to get that ball from the other team. When he is playing defender, he has no problem running right up to the opponent with the ball and kicking it away from them! (amazing!) As goalie, he won't let a ball get past him. And best of all, he made his first goal the other day! Yeah! You should have seen the look on his face as went over to his dad on the field. Priceless! Even if I had remembered my camera, I don't think that I could have captured how proud he was!

This Saturday is their last game.... I better have the still camera and the video camera ready! It's their big "Championship" game! Mason has put himself into training for the past few days. He sets up obsticale courses, lines up balls to kick, and had been working on his speed (with everything). It is really amazing to watch! He now tells me that he wants to play every sport that the gym has to offer. Then when he is done with those, he wants to start playing all of the outdoor sports. Its a good thing that he told me now! There is tryouts for Pony league baseball on Saturday...... I guess it's going to be a LONG day for us on Saturday. (baseball registration, tryouts, the Championship soccer game, team party after, then I have a Piggies & Paws party, Steve has inventory that night.....thank God for grandparents!) I'm tired now just thinking about it! (soccer pictures to come!)

Owens favorite thing!

A couple of weeks ago Owen discovered that he has power. He found that if he stands on his tip toes, he can reach the light switches! So now, Owen's favorite thing to do is to go around the house & turn on every light, ceiling fan... what ever he reach a switch for. Yes, even in the middle of the day! And dont even THINK about turning them off with out his permission....... temper! If you ask HIM to turn them off you are usually ok, but only if he's ready! AAAGGHH! The terrible twos!
