Mason's 7th birthday!

Another year has gone by...
Mason was surprised to be taken to the reptile store to get a new lizard for his birthday. A Crested Geko.
....and Mom & Dad baked him a birthday cake.

Birthday happiness!

Happy Birthday Mason!

Owen

What a good boy! He has no problem sitting at the baseball game... he will be up to bat next year!

After the game we went to lunch, where the boys promptly went on a nature hike behind the restaurant when we were done. I pointed out a little ladybug to Owen. He LOVED looking at it and thought it was so neat to hold it (it's on his hand in the photo)

Making sure that the ladybug is still doing ok before we leave.

Owen was worried to leave it there. I told him that she had to go to the ladybug picnic..... He has been asking to go to the ladybug picnic ever since!

Baseball

My Boys!

Owen jumped into the picture, which made Mason and Owen make silly faces for the occasion! Mason just got a smile back onto his face quicker than Owen.

The Big Slugger!

Jeeze! Why so serious?!

"Coach Steve" giving a cheer!

Baseball ready!

Someone loves their sister

Well, it's Mason of course!
He loves just staring at Emerson and putting his arm around her. He loves all babies, but he loves HIS babies the best! :) He did pose for some of these, but it still captured the love that he has for his little sister.

Northwoods Inn

We took a drive up to Covina to meet some of my family at Northwwods Inn. My Uncle John was in town from Idaho, my Grandma came in from Ventura and my parents came down from Victorville..... mmmmm! Northwoods, what a great meeting spot!

The boys HAD to ham it up for the camera

Emerson got to meet her Great-Grandma for the first time

I wish that I had been able to get some good pictures inside the restaraunt. Since we were there in between the boys' birthdays, we had the waiters sing Happy Birthday to both of them..... we had been hearing the waiters sing to other tables the whole night.... but you should have seen their faces light up when they saw all of the waiters coming to them!$ It was so cute! The pure joy in their faces was priceless, I wish that it could have been captured in a photo.

Boys in the rain

Boys love rain. Feeling the drops on their faces, walking through puddles and the cool crisp air. And, yes Im talking about ALL my boys (including the dog).

Owen turns 3!

Owens birthday was back on Feb. 13th.
What could be better when you're little.... a trip to Toys-R-Us, a few gifts to open and a birthday cake! Things are still so simple at 3!

Another year gone by.... what a big boy! And so much fun too!

You be the judge!

For those of you who like to compare how different or alike the kids are to each other, here are pictures of each of them at one month old. Feel free to leave comments, I'm always interested to know how everyone "sees" them.....

New favorite

This is our new favorite... Pinkberry! Mmmmmmm! I have been wanting to try Pinkberry for a long time, and Steve and I were able to go there after dinner the night before Emerson was born. It was so yummy! We took the kids there last week, and Mason fell in love with it too! His choice, original with Cap'n Crunch.... it was a toss up between the Cap'n Crunch and the Fruity Pebbles, but the Cap'n won out in the end. Owen prefered the berries as toppings with no preference on yougurt flavor. And Steve prefered the Pomogranate over the original yogurt..... We'll see what combonations we end up with next time. And sorry, no pics of the discovery.... I really wanted to eat mine before Emmy realized it was time for her to eat too! :)

Emerson, 11 days old

For those of you who didnt get to see the pictures.... here are pictures from Emerson's first photo shoot. She was a model for a local photographer, Sarah Middleton of Itsy Bitsy Photography here in Menifee. And the outcome was beautiful!

Pumpkin Patch, Sept. ‘08

After we left Oak Glenn, we stopped at the pumpkin patch in Yucaipa.

The Forest Service Fire Fighters were there with logs and a big double ended hand saw. (thank God Steve got back with the snacks before I had to do the saw with Mason!)

After each kid cut off a piece of the log, the fire men branded both sides with their logos.

Then the hunt was on to find the Best pumpkin… Owen wanted every Pumpkin. He "loved" this one, and the rest of the time he carried around a small one with him.

Mason found a really nice green "Cinderella" pumpkin… and guarded it the whole time we were in the patch, making sure that no one else took it!

Then we ran into Smokey the Bear.

Looks like it was a long day… everyone was tired. Mommy secretly wished that she could ride in the wheel barrow too! J

Apple Picking, Sept. '08

We spent a day in Oak Glenn, picking apples, pony rides, petting zoo, and eating caramel apples!

My children of the corn.

So much fun finding the "right" apple.

Proud at finding the best one on the tree!

…. And who can resist taking a pony ride?
